Large Titanium Alloy Blades Play A Key Role In The Design Of Domestic Civil Large Aviation

The latest photos of the domestic CJ1000 large ducted ratio turbofan engine have been exposed, and it is getting closer and closer to the design setting! The C919 airliner is no longer afraid of the engine being cut off.

Recently, an article published by Jiefang Daily called “China Aviation Development Commercial Development ”Casts its Heart" to build a safe and stable Modern Industrial Chain", exposed the assembly drawings of the domestic standard engine CJ1000A of the domestic C919 airliner.

The overall completion degree is already very high. Judging from the photos, the fan blades of the CJ000A have a metallic luster. Previously, it was reported that the #titanium alloy# fan blades were used. The imported engine Leap-1C used for the test flight of the domestic C919 airliner uses a composite fan blade combined with carbon fiber and titanium alloy.

From the point of view of weight, the weight of titanium alloy blades is heavier than that of composite blades. At this point, CJ1000A is temporarily behind Leap-1C, but fortunately, domestic composite fan blades are already under development, and Leap-1C is used as a reference object. It is expected that domestic composite fan blades should be able to be built soon.

In terms of ducting ratio, CJ1000A has reached 9:1, which is higher than the CFM-56 series used by the Boeing 737 series that is still in production, but it is still not as good as the Leap-1C. Generally speaking, the larger the ducted ratio, the lower the fuel consumption rate of the turbofan engine. Therefore, if nothing else, the fuel consumption rate of CJ1000A has been greatly superior to that of CFM-56 series turbofan engines, but it is still slightly inferior to that of Leap-1C turbofan engines with large ducted ratio.

However, as the first large-ducted civilian turbofan engine independently developed by our country, it is already very good that CJ000A can reach this level. The most important thing is that with it, even if the supply is cut off, the domestic C919 airliner will not run out of engines, and foreign countries will no longer dare to ask for prices when selling engines.
