Boeing and Russia Avisma Strengthen Titanium Supply Relationship


According to the related reports, Boeing and the Russian titanium manufacturer VSMPO-AVISMA have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), confirming that VSMPO-AVISMA will still be the largest titanium supplier for current and future of Boeing commercial aircraft.

According to the memorandum of understanding signed by the two companies at the Dubai Airshow, Boeing and VSMPO-AVISMA will work together to: improve the utilization rate of the Ural Boeing Manufacturing (UBM) joint venture in Russia; increase investment in research and development and continue to develop new titanium alloys and technologies; explore new opportunities, in addition to raw materials or forging technology, expand VSMPO-AVISMA's role in producing titanium parts for current and future Boeing commercial aircraft.
