Four Processing Methods of Titanium Welded Pipe


Generally, titanium welded pipe has the following four processing methods:


01. Precision Welded Titanium Pipe:

The titanium pipe compared with the multi-seam "shrimp" type, the weld is correspondingly less, but the more complex the tablet process, the need for a large number of molds, consuming materials and processes, the weld will also affect corrosion resistance, the appearance is not ideal.


02. Multi-Weld Type (Commonly Known As “Shrimp Waist" Type) Titanium Pipe:

This processing technology is complex, usually using the pipe cut into multiple sections of the oblique mouth, welded or under the plate into a multi-section expansion material, and then rolled welding, this method of corner residual material is more, a large amount of welds. Because the weld will greatly reduce corrosion resistance, easy to leak, and poor appearance, the inner surface is the folding surface, increasing the pipe transmission resistance and increase the back erosion corrosion, but reduce the service life.

03. Press Titanium Welded Pipe:

The appearance of this titanium pipe does not seem to be different from the push titanium pipe, but the processing process is to punch the tube billet in the punching die on the song, the back of the titanium tube is pulled during the molding process, and the back is forced to pull thin, the inner wall is pressed and thickened resulting in uneven wall thickness or wrinkling, and the back of the titanium tube is subjected to erosion corrosion during use, due to the thin wall of the back is easy to damage early, so that the overall life of the pipe is greatly reduced.


04. Cast Titanium Tube:

Although it is not sewn titanium tube, but the wall thickness (at least 5mm) and the pipe wall thickness (2mm~4mm) can not match, thereby increasing the transmission resistance, and poor surface finish, it is more important that there are a large number of internal pores generated by the manufacture and other defects, seriously affecting corrosion resistance and life.

Titanium welded pipe processing is no seam titanium pipe as billet, in the special push extrusion machine with pipe diameter less than the finished product caliber billet push extrusion molding, in the process of forming, tube billet expansion.
