Some Kinds of Metal Material Forming Process--Drawing and Punching

I. Drawing: 

Drawing is a plastic processing method that uses external force on the front end of the metal to pull the metal blank from the die hole of the blank section so as to obtain the corresponding shape and size of the product.

Advantages:

1) Precise size, smooth surface;

2) Simple tools and equipment;

3) Continuous high speed production of long products with small section.

Disadvantages:

1) The amount of deformation between passes and two anneals is limited;

2) The length is limited.

Drawing is the main processing method of metal pipes, bars, profiles and wires.

II. Punching: 

It is a forming processing method that relies on the press and die to exert external force on the plate, strip, pipe and profile to produce plastic deformation or separation, so as to obtain the required shape and size of the workpiece (Punching parts).

Technical Features:

1) The system with light weight and high rigidity can be obtained;

2) Good productivity, suitable for mass production, low cost;

3) The products of uniform quality can be obtained;

4) High material utilization rate, good shearing and recovery.

Application Product Range:

All of the world's steel, 60% to 70% are sheet, most of which is punched into finished products.The automobile body, chassis, oil tank, radiator sheet, boiler drum, container shell, motor, electric appliance iron core silicon steel sheet, etc., are punching processing.
